1) Can workers who recently moved to a qaryah be considered as permanent residents for Friday prayers? Are children who travel to obtain knowledge was considered as Friday jemaah?

Based on the book Fiqh al-Islami wa Adillatahu, Shafi'i scholars' states that:

“Friday prayers are not valid(sah) if the number of 40 people, is inclusive of travelers. The 40 must consist of permanent residents only."

Then, the imam is obliged to wait for sufficient numbers of resident congregation before the starting Friday prayers. If the number is not enough, only zohor prayer needs to be performed or Friday prayers can be performed in other qaryah.

It can be used because the word indicates the closeness and no gap between Allah and his servants. This refers to the use of Bahasa Malaysia which has long been used and adopted in everyday conversation.
