  1. Help coordinate religious questions and answers via Mufti Department's email.
  2. Help to document religious questions/answers from Perak FM.
  3. Help coordinate the library department via computer.
  4. Help manage the purchasing of books in the library department.
  5. Help collect and bind newspaper articles relating to department's news and events.
  6. Help manage borrowing and returning of library materials.
  7. Help to ensure the library room facilities are supervised properly.

 

Task List Of The Information Technology Unit
  1. Provide a more efficient distribution of information to users.
  2. Provide ICT services which covers hardware and software, networking, ICT security and other related matters.
  3. Build and expand ICT technologies that is appropriate to the current needs.
  4. Ensure the quality, security and integrity of the information of the department is guaranteed.
  5. Carry out instructions from time to time.

Administration - Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Organize and manage things such as service members leave the service, in-service training, courses, service records, leave records, appointment, confirmation, promotion, examination, housing loans, computer loans, car loans and other related to service members
  2. Maintain files of servicemen and other files of the Department, including the conservation of archives and records
  3. Managing disciplinary action and promotion of members of the services involved (if any)
  4. Designing and implementing a systematic internal administration
  5. Implement ICT development and maintenance of infrastructure facilities in accordance with the requirements of changing times
  6. Coordinate functions of other units

 

Finance - Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare the annual estimated budget of the Department
  2. Manage the Department's procurement and purchasing that has passed through ABM annually
  3. Controlling capital property registration system and Department's vehicle maintenance
  4. Perform the necessary purchases and expenditure needed by the Department

(Qiblat / Calendar)
MAIN STRATEGY: Strengthening the knowledge of Falak Dynamically as Authority of Reference Among the Community
STRATEGY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strengthening the Development of Falak in Perak 1) Determining the direction of Qiblat:
  1. Confirming the direction of qiblat for newly built suraus and mosques;
  2. Rechecking the qiblat direction on other suraus and mosques;
  3. Checking and validating qiblat direction at Muslim Cemeteries;
2) Implementing Hilal Sightings:
  1. Official Hilal sightings for Ramadan, Syawal and Zulhijjah;
  2. Unofficial sightings for the beginning of every other Hijri months.
3) Preparing Statistical Data:
  1. Data and report on the direction of Qiblat;
  2. Hilal Sighting.
Imparting Falak to the Community 1) Publish:
  1. Compile and produce the prayer calendar;
  2. Compile the Calendar for Imsak and Breaking of Fast;
  3. Books and articles on Falak.
2) Developing Falak application on Department's website.


 

(Sightings / Research)
MAIN STRATEGY: Strengthening the knowledge of Falak Dynamically as Authority of Reference Among the Community .
STRATEGY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Centralise Falak Education and Research 1. Implementing Falak Studies and Research from the perspective of Al-Quran and As-Sunnah:
  1. Subuh and Asar angle studies;
  2. Study of Solar Eclipse;
  3. Studies on daily solar Zawal Time;
  4. Studies on the implementation of solat and fasting from the aspect of time and qiblat direction during flight, high-rise building, ship and space.
2) Implementing Falak Studies and Research from technical aspects:
  1. Studies on Islamic scholars and manuscripts;
  2. Studies on a new criterion, the Imkanur Rukyah;
  3. Studies of Solar Clock;
  4. Studies on the Brightness of the Sky;
  5. Studies of Solar and Lunar Data during Eclipse;
3) Administer the Falak State Committee Meeting.
Building a Perak State Observatory 1) To Develop:
  1. Falak Centre and Gallery;
2) Creating a special area for Falak tools and instruments.
Creating an on-line network between State Observatories
  1. To implement Falak programs for the community, school children and Institution of Higher Learning.
  2. To hold Falak seminars, courses and workshops at the state and national level.
  3. Developing education and learning modules for Falak clubs in schools and institutions of higher learning.
  4. Setting up a Falak Clubs.
  5. Holding sighting activities for the community.
  6. Holding Falak exhibition.

Information on Fatwa Division
  1. Assisting S.S. Mufti to answer written religious questions, e-mails, walk-ins and telephone questions every day.
  2. Hold Ulama Conference at the National level each year in conjunction with the birthday of HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak.
  3. Accepting invitations from various parties to clarify local religious issues by giving talks and lectures in mosques, suraus and government departments.
  4. Provide legal counseling session.
  5. Announcing the decision of the Fatwa Committee Meeting.
  6. Assisting S.S. Mufti to prepare seminar papers.
  7. Organize and manage the Fatwa Reviewing Committee meeting , analyze papers that were discussed at the Perak Fatwa Committee meeting.
Information on Istinbat Unit
  1. Hold description sessions to explain the religious problems through Munaqasyah Program, public lectures and publishing explanatory brochures.
  2. Organize Knowledge Discourse and knowledge strengthening courses (Tafaqquh Fiddin) to District Religious Administrative Officers / Perak Syariah Judges and teachers.
  3. Organize Ijtima' Programme to strengthen knowledge in addressing current issues to qualified religious teachers across the Perak on the Ijtima' Programme according to zones.
  4. Recruit qualified Religious Techers besides performing monitoring tasks.
  5. Reviewing and preparing Friday sermons.
  6. Select an ulama' as Tokoh Maal Hijrah at the Perak State level.
  7. Hold Executive Talk to the heads of departments at the district level.
