MAIN STRATEGY: Strengthening the knowledge of Falak Dynamically as Authority of Reference Among the Community
STRATEGY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strengthening the Development of Falak in Perak 1) Determining the direction of Qiblat:
  1. Confirming the direction of qiblat for newly built suraus and mosques;
  2. Rechecking the qiblat direction on other suraus and mosques;
  3. Checking and validating qiblat direction at Muslim Cemeteries;
2) Implementing Hilal Sightings:
  1. Official Hilal sightings for Ramadan, Syawal and Zulhijjah;
  2. Unofficial sightings for the beginning of every other Hijri months.
3) Preparing Statistical Data:
  1. Data and report on the direction of Qiblat;
  2. Hilal Sighting.
Imparting Falak to the Community 1) Publish:
  1. Compile and produce the prayer calendar;
  2. Compile the Calendar for Imsak and Breaking of Fast;
  3. Books and articles on Falak.
2) Developing Falak application on Department's website.

Centralise Falak Education and Research 1. Implementing Falak Studies and Research from the perspective of Al-Quran and As-Sunnah:
  1. Subuh and Asar angle studies;
  2. Study of Solar Eclipse;
  3. Studies on daily solar Zawal Time;
  4. Studies on the implementation of solat and fasting from the aspect of time and qiblat direction during flight, high-rise building, ship and space.
2) Implementing Falak Studies and Research from technical aspects:
  1. Studies on Islamic scholars and manuscripts;
  2. Studies on a new criterion, the Imkanur Rukyah;
  3. Studies of Solar Clock;
  4. Studies on the Brightness of the Sky;
  5. Studies of Solar and Lunar Data during Eclipse;
3) Administer the Falak State Committee Meeting.
Building a Perak State Observatory 1) To Develop:
  1. Falak Centre and Gallery;
2) Creating a special area for Falak tools and instruments.
Creating an on-line network between State Observatories
  1. To implement Falak programs for the community, school children and Institution of Higher Learning.
  2. To hold Falak seminars, courses and workshops at the state and national level.
  3. Developing education and learning modules for Falak clubs in schools and institutions of higher learning.
  4. Setting up a Falak Clubs.
  5. Holding sighting activities for the community.
  6. Holding Falak exhibition.
