1) Can workers who recently moved to a qaryah be considered as permanent residents for Friday prayers? Are children who travel to obtain knowledge was considered as Friday jemaah?
Based on the book Fiqh al-Islami wa Adillatahu, Shafi'i scholars' states that:“Friday prayers are not valid(sah) if the number of 40 people, is inclusive of travelers. The 40 must consist of permanent residents only."
Then, the imam is obliged to wait for sufficient numbers of resident congregation before the starting Friday prayers. If the number is not enough, only zohor prayer needs to be performed or Friday prayers can be performed in other qaryah.
2) Can the word 'you' be used in ‘doa’ inreference to Allah?
It can be used because the word indicates the closeness and no gap between Allah and his servants. This refers to the use of Bahasa Malaysia which has long been used and adopted in everyday conversation. 'Anta-dhamir lilmukhatab' which means you in Arabic and in the context of doa it is not an offense.
3) What is the status of tarikat Sammaniah Malaysia?
Perak Fatwa Committee is not disputing the practice of tarikat Sammaniah Malaysia. However, a letter to certify the validity of this tarikat cannot be issued because often there are irregularities in the practices tarikat.
4) What is the ruling on imams using a mobile loudspeaker that has traces of najis on the wires?
As long as the speaker wire is long and the part that has najis does not move / sway due to the movement of the imam and is convinced that it does not get dirty, it is considered clean.
5) What is the ruling if the floor of the mosque uneven? Is the solat valid(sah) for Jemaah that sits higher or lower?
Despite the uneven floor, the Jemaah is still in the same mosque and in jemaah with the imam.
