IPOH, May 11, 2016 – Perak Mufti Department has arranged for their first meeting among the staff and officers for this year. The meeting has been held at Majlis Agama Islam Perak Conference Room, Level 5, Kompleks Islam Darul Ridzuan. This meeting aims to discuss the problems and solutions related the department and sharing insights to enhanced department for excellence. As well as the obligations on the role of each employee for making safety and enjoyful environment.
After breakfast, the program began with the mandate of the Mufti of Perak, who is also head of the department that is SS Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Hj. Harussani Bin Hj. Zakaria. A variety of experience has been shared dealing specifically with his career from early adolescence until now. |
The program continued with an interaction session along Tan Sri Mufti, Senior Officers and all employees of the department. A variety of inquiry and questions have been raised to Tan Sri Mufti and has received good response from him. One of the officer Puan Fatimah Binti Ayob has been advising and warning to all members of the department able to reflect and change for the better as well as to reflect a good image in accordance with the good name of department.
After that, the officers and staff have signed the Official Secrets Act 1972 for the 2016 in front of Tan Sri Mufti. All the documents were signed by the officers and staff then taken to Tan Sri Mufti to be confirmed officially.
The session ended with the presentation of souvenirs to the staff who will be transferred to another department on May 16, Mr.. Azizan Bin Mokhtar. He will turn to the Division of Management Services, Perak Islamic Religious Department. The next presentation of souvenirs to officers and staff whose birthday in April, May and June, Pn. Pahiyah Binti Idarmawi, En. Zainuddin Bin Muhammad, En. Azwawi Bin Abdul Aziz and Tan Sri Mufti himself. Also celebrated is the staff who have just given birth that is couple Mr. Azwawi Bin Abdul Aziz and Pn. Nurul Asma Bint Ramly.
The meeting ran smoothly and was very lively. It ended with a luncheon prepared by the administration department. |

IPOH, APRIL 24, 2016 – Examination Perak State Religious Teaching Credentials for the year 2016 has been ended successfully today. This annually examination program of collaboration between Perak Mufti Department with Islamic Religious Council and Malay Customs Perak was held for 2 days from 23rd to 24th April 2016 at Al-Ghazali Hall, Level 2 Kompleks Islam Darul Ridzuan. This examination consists of 7 subjects including Hadith, Fiqh, Tawheed, Sufism, Sirah Nabawi, Tafsir, and new subject, namely Trends Current Thought. There are 144 new candidates applying to sit for this written examination while 122 are repeat candidates for various subjects. |
According to Chief Supervisory of the examination, A.F. Ustaz Ahmad Khairul Nizam Bin Ahmad Tarmizdi, he was satisfied with the examination. He said, "alhamdulillah, this examination went smoothly without any controversies impersonation and delays." He also expressed his appreciation and thanks to all the 9 supervisors who helped. He added; "Without the cooperation and commitment of the supervisors, this examination may not be going well."
A total of 4 subjects exams held on Saturdays from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, while 3 more subjects continued at the next day. More than 80 percent of new candidates were present occupying the entire subject of examination. |

SEGARI, April 8, 2016 - Falak Division of the Perak Mufti Department, has been visited by the students from Sek. Men. Tahfiz Islam Al-Amin, Chenderong Balai, Teluk Intan and Sekolah Maahad Al-Yahyawiyah, Padang Rengas, Kuala Kangsar to participate in the observation session of the new moonof Rejab 1437H in Baitulhilal, Pasir Panjang, Segari. |

The program commencedwith a briefing regarding determination the beginning of the Hijri and Hilal delivered by Ustaz Mohamad Faizal Officer of Falak Division,Perak Mufti Department. The briefing session was to give an opportunities for students and accompanying teachers learn about the methods or procedures for determining the beginning of Hijri. Question and answering session also been received very encouraging. In fact, students are also given the opportunity to use special equipment during the sighting of the Hilal.
"We have brought some equipment such as Orion Telescope, camera, NEX-3N, Celestron C90 Telescope, Topcon theodolite and Topcon Total station. In addition, we have the cooperation of an officer from the National Institute of Land and Survey (INSTUN), Mr. Mahruzzaman b Misran which also brought some equipment to this Hilal observationsession, "said Ustazah Fatimah bt Ayoub Assistant Officer of Falak Division.
Observation session begins at 7.00 pm with a relatively sunny weather and a bit cloudy. However, when the sun began to set, the clouds had obscured the sun. Nevertheless, students and teachers are very excited to have the opportunity to use the equipment that have been provided. All attendees had the opportunity to see the moon of Rejab which is starting to look at 7:42 pm at the 8 ° 28 '13' 'and the azimuth of 278 ° 47' 26 '' by using a 120mm Orion Telescope and Celestron C90 Telescope.
After Maghrib, the program continued with a session of sky observations with a telescope. The students and teachers once again have the opportunity to see the natural beauty of Allah's creation when the Jupiter planet are visible in the sky toward the east. "We are very excited and hope this kind of activities will be held to promote astronomy among the community," said one of the teachers.
The activities were attended by approximately 50 students and accompanying teachers ended at 10.00 pm and they are very satisfied with this Hilal observation session.

Kuala Kangsar, April 5, 2016 - Perak Mufti Department, in collaboration with the Research Division under Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPK), and the Kuala Kangsar District Islamic Religious Office has organized a Workshop on Training of Trainers (TOT): Practicing Congregation In the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan. |

The workshop aims to provide knowledge and a thorough understanding of the true tarekat practices and clarify issues that often become controversial among the public. It was held for two days on 4th-5th April 2016 at Kuala Kangsar District Islamic Religious Office
The workshop was attended by about 50 participants from accredited religious teachers, court officials, state officials and local religious institutions. Among the presenters were invited was the Hon. Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Shukri Yeoh Abdullah, Chairman of the Malay Manuscript Research Centre, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and S.F. Dr. Haji Ahmad Husni bin Haji Hasan, a member of the Perak Fatwa Committee. All of the presentations held on Monday.
On the second day, discussions continued with issues Sufism along with A.F. Dr. Mohd. Faizal Bin Abdul Khair and A.F. Dr. Mohd Fuad Bin Mokhtar of Kolej Universiti Islam Sultan Azlan Shah (KUISAS), Kuala Kangsar. The workshop concluded with a dialogue with the Mufti of Perak, S.S. Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Dr. Harussani Haji Zakaria bin Haji, Director of Perak Islamic Religious Department, Y.Bhg. Dato 'Haji Mohd Yusof Bin Husin, and the Chief Syarie Judge, Y.A.A. As'ari Mr. Bin Haji Mohd Yazid

KUALA KANGSAR, 31 MAC 2016 - Perak Jubilee Hall, Kuala Kangsar became as the venue of Perak Mufti Department Executive Talk Program for the first time in this year. This program organised by the Perak Mufti Department which is held every year in different locations in Perak.

In this edition, organisers had also invited A.F. Ustaz Syed Mohd Bakri bin Syed Isaac from Program Ummah Triggers (P.U. 2015) to deliver the first talk called 'Arise Oh Dai', Society Needs You '. After the completion of the first session, the next program is second talk presented by S.S.Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Dr. Haji Harussani Bin Haji Zakaria, The Mufti of Perak. The title of his talk is a 'The Direction of nowadays Da'wah, Where Were You?'.
Talking about the nowadays Da'wah, the Mufti of Perak, S.S. Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Dr. Harussani Haji Zakaria bin Haji asserted; "What is important is the unity among Muslims in our country irrespective of whether different political views".
Approximately 500 participants are invited to join this program. About 300 Islamic Education (GPI), the District Education Office (PPD) Kuala Kangsar besides KAFA teachers, teacher credentials, the rulers of districts and sub-districts, and imams mosques around Kuala Kangsar district are invited to attend as a participants. Also present were District Officer, Tuan Haji Mior Muhammad Jamil Bin Mior Zakaria and Religious Administrative Officer Kuala Kangsar, A.F. Ustaz Haji Burhanuddin Bin Md Dali.
After completion of the two talks, the next is a a question and answer session. Several questions have been raised by participants and answered by S.S. Perak Mufti and Deputy Mufti of Perak, Tuan Haji Zamri Bin Hashim. The program ended at 1.00 pm.

IPOH, 9 MAC 2016 - Let's Observe Partial Solar Eclipse Program located in Masjid Abu Bakar, North Brigade, the General Operations Force in Ulu Kinta these days seen successfully achieving the target to cultivate a sense of the public interest to astronomical and their Cakna attitude towards natural phenomenon

Program by Falak Division is a joint program between the Perak Mufti Department and the Committee of Abu Bakar Mosque, North Brigade, the General Operations Force in Ulu Kinta. It began with prayers followed by a solar eclipse sermon by the imam of Masjid Abu Bakar, briefing session and sighting of the solar eclipse.
Approximately consist of 200 General Operations Force Camp members, students, and the public has come to watch the a partial solar eclipses that is rare to happen. The public saw this phenomenon with the equipment that has been provided by the Falak Division of Perak Mufti Department.
According to the Maktabah Officer, AF Ustaz Mohamad Khairul Anuar Bin Mat Isa; 'Successful program executed by the overwhelming response by local communities. Hopefully this program becomes a consciousness to all Muslims on the creation of Almighty God's.’
The program ended at the end of the eclipse around 10:00 am and was followed by refreshments for the guests and the secretariat.

IPOH, 26 JANUARY 2016 – Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah’s Muzakarah with the theme : ‘Raja : Payung Pelindung Agama’ that was held from 24th January 2016 until 26th January 2016 was run smoothly and successfully. HRH Sultan Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah officiated the Opening Ceremony of the Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah’s Muzakarah on the 25th January 2016.

The inaugural dialogue under the rule of Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah was held at the Amanjaya Convention Centre, Casuarina@Meru, Bandar Meru Raya, was attended by about 150 participants from various career backgrounds and places. It started on Sunday afternoon with participant registration and followed by Pre-Muzakarah presentation in the evening which was presented by Y.Bhg. Prof Madya Mat Rofa Bin Ismail of Putra University Malaysia Faculty of Science.
The Muzakarah continued on Monday morning with the Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s Muzakarah Opening Ceremony which was attended by about 1000 people. Also present were Her Royal Highness the Raja Permaisuri Perak, HRH Raja Muda Perak and HRH Raja Puan Besar Perak, HRH Raja DiHilir Perak and HRH Raja Puan Muda Perak, Perak Chief Minister and wife and all the Perak Exco Members. The Opening Ceremony began with the recital of verses of the Holy Quran y Ustaz Mohd Radzi Qamarulhailan AF, followed by a welcoming speech by Mufti of Perak, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Harussani bin Haji Zakaria and Opening Ceremony speech by His Royal Highness Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah. After the speech, the Muzakarah continued wih presentation papers 1 by Y.Bhg. Professor Emiritus Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Khay Kim from the Faculty of History, University of Malaya, entitled : “ Sorotan Kesultanan Melayu Memayungi Agama, Negara dan Rakyat.
Presentation papers 2 was presented in the afternoon by Y.Bhg. SS Dato’ Haji Mohamad Shukri bin Mohammad, the Mufti of Kelantan. The title of this working paper is ‘The flow of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah : Core Stability of Belief ‘. The muzakarah breaks after the question and answer session. The next session later in the evening is an Intellectual Talk delivered by 2 person panel consisted of SS Mufti of Kedah Dato’ Paduka Haji Sheikh Baderuddin Bin Haji Ahmad and and Y. Bhg. Dr. Yusri Bin Mohd, President of the Islamic Dakwah Foundation Malaysia (YADIM).
Presentation 3 continued on Tuesday morning. It is presented by Y. Bhg. Associate Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim El-Muhammady Research Centre for Traditional and Contemporary Islam, Bangi which is titled : ‘ Shafie Mazhab as vehicle to Ummah Unity and Uniformity of Syariah practice in Malaysia. ‘This dialogue is followed by he presentation of resolutions by Y. Bhg. Prof. Dr. Jamil Bin Hashim of Kolej Universiti Islam Sultan Azlan Shah (KUISAS) and ended with the Closing Ceremony around noon. The Closing Ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Drs. Nizar Bin Zakaria, Perak state Executive Councilor.

The Perak Mufti Department has organized a program called "Program Rukyah Hilal Zulhijjah 1436H, located in Baitul Hilal, Pantai Pasir Panjang, Segari on 13th September 2015( 29 Zulkaedah). It aims to determine the date of the beginning of Zulhijjah and set the date of Idul'adha which falls 10 days later that is the 10th of Zulhijjah. The start date of Zulhijjah is determined by the imkanur rukyah method which is practised in Malaysia. The program also aims to give exposure to the public about astronomy in particular relating to the rukyah methods in determining the new moon.
There was about five hundred guests in attendance, starting at 4.30pm. Among those present were:
1) The Chief Justice of the Perak Syariah Judicial Department,
2) Director of the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPK),
3) Manjung District Officer,
4) The Orang Besar Jajahan Kinta
5) The Syariah High Court Judge Perak
At 6.00 pm, the program started with the recitation of tahlil and doa led by Y. Bhg. S.S. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Harussani bin Haji Zakaria, the Mufti of Perak. After the doa recital, the program continued with the briefing of Rukyah Hilal Zulhijjah 1436H. The briefing was delivered by Ustazah Fatimah binti Ayoub, Assistant Falak Officer of the Perak Mufti Department. The program continued with observation sessions along the coast. The Rukyah sessions was conducted by the Mufti of Perak at 7:21 pm, followed by other guests of honor. After the rukyah sessions ended, SS Mufti contacted the Keeper of the Rulers to inform of the rukyah decision, using telecommunication services provided by Telekom Malaysia (TM). Guests are also allowed to see the new moon with tools and apparatus provided by the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM). The program continued with Maghrib prayers led by A.F. Ustaz Mohammad Khairul Anuar bin Mat Isa, Buhuth Officer of the Perak Mufti Department. After the Maghrib prayers, the program ended with dinner. Thank God, with God's permission and the program can run smoothly. We wish all the good work gets the pleasure and blessings from Him. Amen.
